Two French films to watch online for free!
To celebrate the newest edition of the famous Locarno Film Festival, 8 films from this year’s line-up are now available to stream online for free thanks to Festival Scope. Among them, two French features – with English subtitles.
This year the lineup includes Virgil Vernier’s second feature, Sophia Antipolis. Considered one of the most anticipated films of 2018 by Les Cahiers du cinema, the feature is a fascinating immersion into the suburbs of Nice, a place of dreams and despair. In Those Who Work (Ceux qui travaillent), a drama directed by Antoine Russbach about a man who gave everything to his work before getting fired and is now left to reconnect with his daughter, audiences online will have the chance to catch the Dardenne Brothers’ frequent collaborator, Olivier Gourmet (Le fils, Rosetta, La promesse), in another award-worthy performance.
Spectators will have the opportunity to catch these titles on Festival Scope, the platform dedicated to bringing fresh films from prestigious festivals to audiences worldwide. Among the other 6 films part of line-up, only Suburban Birds is not available to stream in the US.
Each film is available online the day after its premiere at the Locarno Film Festival and until August 31. The virtual tickets are limited to 400 per film, which mean that only 400 viewers can catch each film.
