Fourteen years after Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Michel Gondry and Jim Carrey are working together again on a 30 minute dark comedy series entitled Kidding, which will premiere September 9 on Showtime.

The synopsis is as follows: Jeff finds that no fairytale, fable or puppet will guide him through this crisis, which advances faster than his means to cope. The result: A kind man in a cruel world faces a slow leak of sanity as hilarious as it is heartbreaking.

Gondry's whimsical touch and inventivity with the camera is all over this trailer and reminiscent of such previous films of his as The science of Sleep or Be Kind Rewind. We're clearly excited at FrenchFlicks. See you in September.
