Tell No One (Ne le dis à personne)

NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE TO STREAM ON NETFLIX. NOW AVAILABLE ON NETFLIX DVD. Quiet and subtle tension engulfs you the whole way through during Guillaume Canet's Tell No One (Ne le dis à personne, 2006). Is Alexandre Beck (François Cluzet) losing his mind? It would sure seem that way after he finds signs of life from his wife Margot… eight years after mourning her death.

In this story, unexpected thrills are packed in with memorable characters, and a few chase scenes. The more Alexandre searches for truth, the more outlandish possibilities we uncover, taking the viewer on a roller coaster ride that keeps you guessing.

Marie-Josée Croze’s character Margot provides an elusive figure, one that simply can’t be touched. Blinking, even if only for a few seconds, during this two-hour thriller can be a fatal move, as vital traces of information are intricately placed throughout the movie, until the ultimate and dramatic climax.

The film is supported by an all-star cast (Jean Rochefort, André Dussolier, Kristin Scott Thomas, Gilles Lellouche, Olivier Marchal among them) and by a melancholic soundtrack that ranges from Otis Redding to Jeff Buckey. Based on a novel by the American author Harlen Coben, Tell No One is an absorbing "who-dunit" thriller, the French's answer to The Fugitive.
