Nobody Else But You (Poupoupidou)

NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE TO STREAM ON NETFLIX. NOW AVAILABLE ON NETFLIX DVD. Watching Nobody Else But You, directed by Gérald Hustache-Mathieu fulfills two American passions: reliving the Marilyn Monroe legacy, and solving a murder mystery.

In the tiny and freezing town of Mouthe, France, Candice Lecoeur (Sophie Quinton), has a deep and colorful admiration for the Hollywood icon. So much so, that her life eerily mirrors the actress' life to a T.

Lecoeur isn't exactly the 1950s golden girl, but she was the spokesperson of Mouthe's high quality cheese. Just like her favorite sex symbol, She was simultaneously adored and emotionally tortured.

Writer David Rousseau (Jean-Paul Rouve), an endearing Joe Schmoe down on his luck, is looking for his next story when he happens upon the news of Lecoeur's demise. A Fargo-esque plot-line with good story-telling, Frenchflicks sure enjoyed the twists and turns on a rainy movie night.
