Hopefully you are now familiar with the eclectic and international group of Erasmus students we met after watching the first of Cedric Klapisch's trilogy. The third and final installment, Chinese Puzzle (Casse Tête Chinois) is now available on Netflix, and just may be the most feel-good, and relatable chapter.
The college students are all grown up now, juggling kids and new cities instead of classes. The characters are openly imperfect, and get themselves into just as many pickles as when they were young. Luckily, Xavier (Roman Duris) is a writer and narrates with all of the warmth and flare that you'd expect. Wendy (Kelly Reilly) serves as quite the antagonist for our hero, as Martine (Audrey Tautou) in her own way, saves the day.
Chinese Puzzle is a great way to start the year off with a refreshing story of change of pace, big change, and new love.
