Crime d'amour (Love Crime)
NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE TO STREAM ON NETFLIX. No one can get exactly what they want, at the expense of who they want, quite like a woman can. Goosebumps will rise, and minds will be titillated while watching the boss of your biggest nightmares come to life in Love Crime (Crime d'amour).
In this particular film, the work place has sharks in the water, and it bodes well for entertainment value. While climbing the corporate ladder, a young and beautiful executive, Isabelle Guérin (Ludivine Sagnier) develops quite the complicated relationship with her chic and snake - like boss, Christine (Kristen Scott Thomas).
Alain Corneau writes and directs a story of the fledgling new talent going head to head with the head honcho at the office, not unlike Joseph L. Mankiewicz's 1950 treasure, All About Eve. The acting is a little novice, but it adds to the camp in a way that I find delicious.
Don't let the sexy pumps, skirts and lipstick fool you. These girls mean business, and the piece has an unexpected pace that takes you by surprise, and fills your latest SVU-esque crime cravings.
Put on that ski mask and dust off those fingerprints and turn on Love Crime to kick off the week.
