A Mighty Team
A Mighty Team (La dream team, 2016) is the type of feel good movie that can melt the hardest of hearts, but doesn't overwhelm you with "the mushy stuff".
Thomas Sorriaux's comedy stars French household name Gerard Depardieu, as well as Medi Sadoun and Chantal Lauby (Serial (Bad) Weddings).
The biggest soccer champion of France is Maxime Belloc. He's living large and loving life, but due to his agent dropping him and a broken leg, he soon ends up forced to convalesce at his father's, someone he hasn't spoken to in 15 years.
Thus, in a state of vulnerability, he is coaxed into coaching the neighborhood youth team. Slowly but surely, Maxime also realizes the necessity of rediscovering family, and learns to think of someone other than himself.
Watching narcissistic star player turn into a heartwarming hero is a joy to watch, and is a great option if you're looking for an inspiring and witty combination of a family sports dramedy. Perfect for fans of The Mighty Ducks and The Sandlot!
