Ils se marièrent et eurent beaucoup d'enfants (2004)

In French with English subtitles. Available beginning February 7.

A bittersweet comedy about thirty somethings losing their bearings and lacking in adventure after marriage and children. A film that doesn't sugarcoat. It's not lacking in talent in front of the camera either, starring Charlotte Gainsbourg, Yvan Attal and Alain Chabat, and even an appearance made by Johnny Depp.

Three middle-aged friends are struggling to navigate the complexities of love. Two friends are married but their relationships are less than satisfactory, while their bachelor friend longs for monogamy.

"Attal knows that no matter how adult we feel when we say, 'I do,' marriage is all child's play: jealousy, lies and pure, unconditional love. ." - Chicago Tribune

Directed byYvan Attal
Cast: Charlotte Gainsbourg, Yvan Attal, Emmanuelle Seigner
Genre: Comedy

Mensonges et trahisons et plus si affinités (2004)

A comedy on human behavior that does not take itself seriously, the film by Laurent Tirard is enhanced and well supported by a superb cast, Edouard Baer in the center of it all.

After taking a job ghostwriting the autobiography for a famous soccer player, Raphael discovers that the athlete's fiancée is actually an old flame from school that he still has feelings for.

"Cornillac steals the show as the athlete whose ego is as formidable as his soccer prowess, but entire cast is spot-on."Variety

Directed by: Laurent Tirard
Cast: Édouard Baer, Marie-Josée Croze, Clovis Cornillac
Genre: Comedy

Chouchou (2003)

In French with English subtitles. Available beginning February 7.

An enormously popular success, this comedy which features Gad Elmaleh donning the costume of one of the cult characters of his one man show, isn't afraid to push his character to the limits of absurdity, but avoids crude vulgarity in favor of a real tenderness for his flamboyant characters.

Chouchou, an illegal immigrant, is finally free to dress in women's clothing, finding work at a cabaret in Paris. There he meets Stanislaus and falls in love, but Chouchou's immigration status might prove to be an issue.

"A good-natured humanistic comedy, built around a gay North African cross-dresser in Paris, "Chouchou" is as sweet as it is leisurely." - Variety

Directed by: Merzak Allouache
Cast: Gad Elmaleh, Alain Chabat, Roschdy Zem
Genre: Comedy
