Our April Selection on TV5MONDE Cinema On Demand

This April, the TV5MONDE Cinema On Demand lineup focuses on friends and family!  Explore the close bonds of a budding friendship in the film La ligne droite, about a young woman who becomes a guide for a blind competitive runner after she is released from prison, or settle in for a laugh with Sol, about a grandmother who pretends to be a new neighbor in order to meet her estranged grandson.

A lovely feel good movie that's an ode to family, featuring the ever poignant Chantal Lauby.

Sol, a famous tango singer, has been living in Argentina for years, hiding her sadness about her son’s estrangement. She eventually returns to Paris in the hopes of meeting her grandson but must hide her true identity.

By the Oscar winning director of Indochine, Régis Wargnier, La ligne droite is a beautiful film about self-sacrifice and self-acceptance.

After her release from prison, Leila is unsure of what to do until she meets Yannick, a  runner who lost his sight. Leila becomes Yannick’s guide, using a cord to help him navigate in training, but keeps her past a secret.

Le vilain
