Les cousins

Gerard Blain stars an earnest young student from the country who stays with his decadent cousin (Jean-Claude Brialy) in Paris and has difficulty coping with the city’s social atmosphere. Claude Chabrol’s second feature (his first was Le Beau Serge, 1958) won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and remains an early success of the New Wave.
