“We have all, at some point in our lives, gone through a phase where we thought that the world belonged to us,” notes writer-director Stephan Streker of this gripping new drama. “Becoming adult means realising that things are a lot more complicated than that.” Aspiring soccer player Julien (Ymanol Perset) and car thief Pouga (Vincent Rottiers) are young men with superficial similarities but very different lives - lives that intersect in a night of violence. The two leads (and such costars as Olivier Gourmet, who plays Julien’s father) offer outstanding performances, and Ozark Henry’s soundtrack is an equally compelling presence.
