This wish gives rise to justifiable activity - ensuring that this birthday is indeed the best ever - and also to deeper questions. Day after day, a series of cracks, some minor, some irrevocable, will appear in the facade of a family destined to remain eternally united and happy. Another more comic and more painful story slowly takes shape as the celebration approaches.
