In 2013, Habré’s arrest in Sénégal was a decisive breakthrough in a 23-year struggle pitting the ex-tyrant against survivors. This documentary by Mahamat-Saleh Haroun (FFC 2009, Sex, Gombo and Salted Butter; FFC 2011, A Screaming Man; FFC 2014 Grigris) gives voice to the victims, who have shown that with courage and obstinacy, it is possible to bring a dictator to justice. The survivors wanted to make sure that those who committed crimes did not go unpunished.
