Our Selection of Short Films on Fandor

Still feeling fresh from the Oscars last month, FrenchFlicks takes a more avant-garde turn this week and enjoys a different style of entertainment. It's nice to take a break once in a while from your usual full-length feature, and feel stimulated by a few quirky and thought-provoking shorts.

We recommend a well-rounded lineup, which includes a love story, a thriller, a sci-fi and... well... you be the judge.

Toutes des connes (Life's a bitch) is delightful and relatable. The pace is just right and it leaves you feeling as though you aren't alone in this "thing called life." - Official Selection Sundance Film Festival

For having so little time, L'accordeur (The Piano Tuner) grabs your attention quickly and spectacularly. The tone is chilling and leaves you wanting more. - Best Short Film César Awards 2012

Le Voyage dans la lune (A Trip to the Moon), the very first science-fiction film ever created, has never been so groovy, set to a soundtrack by 90s-00s girly psychedelic, electronica French band, Air. Speaking of psychedelic, the color is restored. What better way to get your fill of cinematic history?

Lastly, there's Eat My Makeup. We threw this one in there partly to hear what you may have to say about it. (What? Now you have to watch it!) - Official Selection New York Underground Film Festival

Enjoy, your movie will begin short-ly.
