Mustang to represent France at the 2016 Oscars!

Mustang, the film directed by Deniz Gamze Ergüven, has been selected as one of 5 films for the 2016 Oscar for Best Foreign-Language Film.

The four other contenders for the award are Son of Saul by László Nemes (Hungary), Theebby Naji Abu Nowar (Jordan), A War by Tobias Lindholm (Denmark), and Embrace of the Serpent by Ciro Guerra (Colombia).

The French short film Ave Maria by Basil Khalil, produced by Éric Dupont and Suha Arraf fromIncognito Films, has also been nominated in the Best Short Film (Live Action) category.

The ceremony for the Oscars 2016 will take place on February 28 in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
