99¢ Documentary Collection: With One Voice

While there are an increasing number of dividing voices around the world, we are in dire need for initiatives that bring us all together. Music is one of them. With One Voice brings us in a remarkable journey, in which musicians from Israel and Palestine with different religions unite to share the most important message: peace.

With One Voice (D'une seule voix)

In his French tour “One Voice,” long-time music vagabond Jean-Yves Labat de Rossi decided to unite musicians including some from Israel and Palestine to form the choir “With One Voice”. He visited and met with musicians on both sides of the wall, asking them to join him on this extraordinary journey during which Israelis, Palestinians, Jews, Christians and Muslims all came together to connect in a universal language.

It was not an easy mission. 14 concerts in 17 days, 90 musicians, 3000 kilometers to cover…the mounting stress gradually led to inevitable conflicts while the underlying political tensions remain. But maybe because proper adjustments were made, at the end of the tour, they shared a deep affinity that seemed impossible at the outset.

A moving and timely documentary by Xavier de Lauzanne about the possibility of peace and love through the power of music.

Best Documentary at the International Film Festival of Palm Beach and the International Film Festival of Houston.
