A Francophile love story with a vintage soul

Lullaby For Pi released today is a French/Canadian co-production with an international cast, a gorgeous jazz soundrack and a timeless love story. Starring French cinema darling Clémence Poésy, with Rupert Friend (Homeland), Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead, Prison Break) and Oscar winner Forest Whitaker.

A Jazz singer Tom could have any woman he wants. But the only woman this lovelorn widower wants is his deceased wife. Unable to let go, he spends his nights in the hotel room where they first met. He hardly sees anyone except George the hotel desk clerk. Until one day a mysterious woman, fleeing some unnamed terror and strangely named Pi, locks herself in Tom’s hotel room bathroom... What unfurls is a story of love that is truly blind, as the traumatized pair sit either side of the bathroom door, Tom finds his voice in comforting Pi, and she in turn falls for the wounded singer.

The film features rare vocal performances from Friend, Poésy, and Callies, as they sing through love, loss, and change. A unique, vintage styled film, for the hopeless romantic in all of us.
