The Criterion Channel will be launching on April 8th in the U.S. and Canada. It will be available on desktop, Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, iOS, and Android devices. Many French and francophone films will be part of the line-up.
“New French Shorts 2019,” a five-film sampler of new Gallic cinema presented by IFC Center and UniFrance, screens Tuesday, April 9 at 7:00pm at IFC Center. Celebrating its sixth edition, the showcase boasts a selection of animation, comedy and drama, including films from Cannes, Toronto and Locarno, plus the winner of the César Award for Best Animated Short.
Three free talks with filmmakers, actors and writers from France and the US discussing their passion for cinema will take place at the Amphitheater of the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center, during the festival Rendez-Vous With French Cinema in New York.
